We saw this painted on the wall of a home on the drive from the airport (Though it’s called Denpasar International, it’s actually in Kuta). It was as if to see the words in our hearts written out for all to see. We WILL post pictures, but please know…NO picture will do the beauty of this place justice. We arrived in Nyuh Kuning yesterday evening around 6:30pm. Relaxed and visited with Harmony (my volunteer coordinator), went out to dinner and then hit the proverbial hay! This morning is gorgeous and as we sit and have coffee we are watching Harmony’s landlord pray and bring offerings to the outdoor temple in their home. These offerings include flower petals and incense sitting inside a tiny handwoven banana leaf basket. All aspects of life here are steeped in gratitude and spirituality. Today we’ll move into our home, explore Nyuh Kuning a bit and then we’ll head back down to Kuta (the big tourist center) for a concert/fundraiser for the birth center at a water park with Cut Chemist. That’s about all the computer time I have in me…more later. Sumpai Jumpa Nanti! (See you next time)

It sounds lovely and we can’t wait to see pictures – even if they give us a glimpse of how beautiful it is there. Thank you for taking the time to blog!! Looking forward to hearing more updates

Yay, so awesome you’re experiencing that! The offerings were also one of the most amazing things that stood out for me when I was there.
