My first post…sigh. We leave for Bali in 12 days. My “to-do” list gets shorter and shorter, I’ve said my first few “see you in 3 months” and I have everything on my packing list. Will I ever be truly ready? Nah. This is by far the biggest adventure I have ever been on, and I simply can’t be ready! Saying that would mean that I had some idea of what to expect. Here is what I know: I will learn so much about midwifery, myself, the world and my love. I will work hard. I will play hard. I will soak up everything I can. I will be present. I am so honored to go and help these mama’s and baby’s. I will come back a changed person. I will be joyful to come home to my life.

I miss you already! I hope you don’t change too much. We will still sit around and knit and talk shit.

You will regret letting friends like me communicate with you in this forum…all your friends will have to put up with my stupid humor.
On that note, I’ll be Bali’ng my eyes out with joy and jealousy over the next few months.
Honestly, I wish you both a wonderful adventure of learning and loving!
Love, Sean

Welcome to Bali!!! I’ve been thinking about you two since you left. At this point, you’ve been on an airplane for about 10.5 hours. Whoah! Your butt must be sore. I picture you casting envious glances at a sleeping Kris as you try shifting your weight, AGAIN, in an effort to keep blood circulating through your legs butt cheeks. Oh, and you’re also watching a movie.
BUT! It’s all over now! Now, while you are reading this, you are comfortably arrived in BALI!!!!
Much love, sista!
